Despite stricter scrutiny, US approves more H-1B visas this year

The US has approved a higher number of H-1B applications (both for initial visas and visa extensions for continued employment) this year, showing that the demand for these work visas continues unabated. This is a relief to Indians, who are the dominant holders of H-1B visas, especially after processing regulations got more stringent post-2015 .

While in 2015, 288,000 applications were approved (95.7%) by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services , for fiscal 2019, the figure touched 389K (84.8%), up from last year's 335K (84.5%).

Go to The Home Depot any weekend and you can see them there, incongruous because they are dark skinned and their English is deeply accented, but are wearing LL Bean clothing and fancy shoes, alligator polo shirts and driving fancy SUV's, three kids in tow with the wife. They are the new middle class in America.

Then there's the Mexican "contractor" families in their huge trucks, who speak zero English but miraculously pull tons of credit cards out of their pockets to buy building materials to do the jobs Americans just won't do.

The Americans in the store with you are all bearded, bald, and inked, the wives are fat slobs, they are all bare-footed, wearing flip-flops, and can't tell a nail from a screw.

If they are older, you can tell it's the wife who's dressed the husband, because the 65 year old guy is wearing little boy shorts and a little boy striped polo shirt and little boy baseball cap and little boy sneakers.

Thanks to rampant feminism, treasonous federal judges, the bankers, the corporatists, stupid voters, a dysfunctional congress, and a seditious USDOE, we are a tower of babble, and a national embarrassment and disgrace.

FWIW, I’d consider the source here.

And get the admin’s side of this before we get our knickers in a knot.

Just a gentle suggestion :-)

I don’t know if anyone has noticed but we are being totally overrun by Indians. Very little English spoken in public. So what? Do we need to learn Hindi in order to understand this growing ethnic group? Sheesh.... Do you want to live in America? SPEAK ENGLISH! Or go back to wherever you came from.

So true. The men are spineless. I talk to the boys I work with and all they care about are sports. They don’t see anything wrong. We aren’t going to vote ourselves out of this.

I am personally prepared to be disappointed on this issue.
At least in the short term.

Trump’s bigger fish to fry is his great geostrategic conflict with China. In this India stands to be a crucial ally. I expect he is going to dance around this issue in order to avoid upsetting them in order to get them in line.

That’s 389K x 2 with the H-4 Visas. Thanks to Obama

An H-4 visa is a visa issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to immediate family members (spouse and children under 21 years of age) of the H-1B visa holders.

USCIS allows immediate family members of H visa holders (H-1A, H-1B, H-1B1, H-2A, H-2B, or H-3) to get H-4 visas to lawfully come and stay in the US. These visas are usually issued at the local US consulate office abroad. However, if the person is already in US, he or she can obtain H-4 status by filing Form I-539 for change of status.[

This should be part of a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill. The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1987 goes like this -

1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.
