I understand your grammatical concerns. However, the context to the conversation is the number of illegal immigrants now residing in the United States. So, if you had ever read my extensive posts on illegal immigration you would know that when I wrote "I told you 25 million YEARS ago." with emphasis on YEARS you would inflect properly and understand the meaning of the sentence. Since yours is the only post impugning my sentence structure, it is of little concern. Thanks for letting me know that there might be a misunderstanding.
I have posted many times, many years ago, that the number of illegal immigrants in this nation tops 25 million and was at THAT time probably 30 million. Have a good day.
