Something to consider...gun owners may decide it's not to their advantage to wait for the knock on the door. They may decide to act preemptively.
That can take a lot of forms.
Beto is pushing a situation that will get cops killed and they will tell him to go get the guns himself.
Cops are not robots and most red state LEO’s do value the constitution and its protections.
Many residents of many, many counties across our nation believe that the only Law Enforcement they have to obey is their own elected county sheriff.
There’s a lot more gun owners than LEO’s. Doxing can be a 2 edged sword. Publish the address of every LEO in the country.
Seems there are just two schools of thought on this point, and sadly, I'm in yours. We've put up with gradualist termites eating away at the education of our youth, with taxation, with the coarsening of the culture, with government health care, and abortion...and we'll put up with gun confiscation too. Any resisters will lose their precious social media, their health care, their jobs; hardly any will lose their freedom or their lives. Nor does the government need to show up at anyone's house while the owner is at home, so there won't be any standoffs.
Eventually, gun owners will be so marginal, their guns won't matter any more than their votes. Potential martyrs will die off and their bluster forgotten.
It's a post-modern country now, full of geldings, bespectacled bureaucrats and gamers in basements. And they are completely ignorant of history, never mind the Constitution.
