Whether it's talkies, TV, the end of the studio system, the 'Net killing print, etc, as peak saturation occurs from over-exposure to 24/7 manufactured crises, how are (social) media companies gonna make a $ buck?
Perhaps the next tech wave is rapidly advancing in both medical sciences and computing. Maybe AI and VR will offer the "next big thing" as everyone becomes entirely bored to death by the endless, breathless, invented 'breaking' news.
