Where are they needed? Public schools or private ones? Where are the schools? Location,location,location? Is a CC required in some of those schools? They aren’t the students of the 50’s, you need multi lingual teachers. Probably more English teaching than anything else.
Schools can’t find people to teach Computer Science classes. So they rework the standards enabling marketing teachers to handle it. Yes people, our system is in dire need of STEM teachers. And, no, teachers aren’t paid anywhere near the wage scale of an engineer.
