They look very uncomfortable, don't they?
Also, please note the lack of diversity in that photo.

All the teams have looked pretty happy to be there. As far as diversity goes, there’s lots. Men with beards, clean shaven and in between.

With the Europeans, I’m sure there is a decent enough balance of Francophones, Anglophones, and Aliophones—and that makes for diversity in the traditional Canadian style.
Go Habs.

Hockey is a distinctly international sport these days, and because of this it is considered disrespectful and unsportsmanlike to let politics intrude on the traditions of the game.
The NHL went to great lengths to collaborate with the Soviet Union to schedule exhibition games with the Central Red Army and Soviet national teams even during the height of the Cold War. That's something a lot of us here on FR might want to think about when we read various media reports about the ongoing NBA-China fiasco.

It has already infected the management, though. Many teams participate in some sort of pro-homo event or parade every year. Just check NHL.com.

Trump is great at these events. I’m glad the NHL decided to stay out of politics and accept graciously this honor.
