Yet more bad news for the impeachment mob, from Axios, of all places. Staffer Alexi McCammond chaired a focus group of 11 Ohioans concerning the “impeachment inquiry.” She discovered that the majority of them strongly disapprove of the so-called impeachment for a variety of reasons that boil down to a belief that Pelosi, Schiff, and company are out gallivanting rather that handling country’s business.
Takeaways included:
* …9 of the 11 participants raised their hands to say impeachment is a distraction from the issues they care most about -- things like wages and unemployment, border security, bringing troops home, and health care costs and access.
* Brad P., a 40-year-old Trump voter, summed it up as "a never-ending drama" that "shows to me these people are completely out of touch with everyday Americans’ lives."
* A couple of people doubted that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden; others didn't think it warrants impeachment if he did.
* Judy D., a 60-year-old Trump voter. "[Nancy] Pelosi hates him so bad, I just think she needs to drop it and worry about the country."
This is of critical importance (certainly much more so the Fox News’ synthetic “poll”) because Ohio is a bellwether state, roughly evenly divided between parties, a border state between the Northeast and the Midwest, largely middle class, and certainly not given to extremes. Ohio can be said to speak for the country as a whole, and what Ohio (at least this segment of it) is saying is that impeachment is not playing with everyday Americans, and is not likely to start. As one participant put it, "Just drop it. Beat Trump at the ballot box."
Clearly, House Democrats would be wise to consider pushing impeachment away with a long stick and then tiptoeing off before it explodes.

OH is long since safe R. We have calculated that there are +300,000 Rs in the state after allocating ALL “independents” by their previous voting patterns.
Renacci lost by 3 points cuz he didn’t have any name recognition at all and refused to spend money vs. an incumbent. But even a weak Mike DeWine won the gov race by oer 2.
Trump will hold OH by +8 or +9.

Ohio is NOT in play, was never in play in 16 either... Dems are heading to a route.. and the honest ones know it.

What you have to understand about this “impeachment” nonsense is that it has NOTHING to do with Trump. This impeachment garbage is about knee capping the far left wing of the Democrat party.
The smart democrats know they aren’t winning in 2020, best any of them, regardless of who the candidate would be will be about 15 states plus DC. However, if they run a “moderate” and they lose, the far left will just scream “SEE WE NEED TO GO FURTHER LEFT” and continue to gain influence...
If on the other hand, they run a true left wing whackadoo, and get slaughtered, then that entire falls flat, and they lose influence, the party can then moderate away from the far left for the 2024 cycle when they have an honest shot at winning.
When you understand this impeachment crap has NOTHING to do with Trump.... its all about kneecapping the radical left wing, by giving them exactly what they want, you can sit back with your popcorn and enjoy the show.
Impeachment gains the Dems NOTHING at the ballot box, its a loser, from every angle.. Yes it will excite their hard core base, but it won’t bring one more vote their way.. .It won’t remove Trump from office, because even if they vote on articles of impeachment in the house, the Senate is not going to convict... so all its going to do is Fire the Trump Base up to DEFCON 5 and piss off the independent and moderate and disenfranchised d voters... ensuring that whoever the whackadoo is, they not only lose, but get crushed.
The impeachment is meant to damage Biden and make sure a far left person gets the nomination, and ensure they get slaughtered...
This is all internal Democrat Party political theater, being passed off as getting “Trump”...
But our tow Senators could care less what The People think or say. Sherrod Brown is a rabid Democrat and Rob Portman is a squishy GOPe and sometimes NeverTrumper. So there you have it.

Think about it... Why the sudden, we are going to impeach over “UKRAINE”??? 99% of the public had never heard of hunter Biden let alone the sweatheard corrupt deals, he’, and Kerry’s kid were getting all over the place thanks to who their dads are...
This was never about hurting Trump.. though I suppose you could calculate the outside chance that this impeachment thing might actually work.. the real calculous is to kneecap the far left.
Make sure Biden doesn’t get the nomination, and that the electorate is riled up against the radical lefty that will likely wind up the nominee...
Nothing changed between Nancy being against impeachment one day, to giving it the go ahead the next... other than they could drag Biden into it...
