This NEEDS to be prosecuted for assault and battery.
If not, then we are on the path to becoming Weimar Germany.
The other side WANTS to provoke a response, so they can claim our side is violent; and then, more violence will result.
The German police in the 1930s stayed out of the political streetfighting, and eventually a dictatorship was the result.
The police (and the DA) are civilization’s first line of defense, and if they give up the game, then eventually much worse will follow.
If you’re waiting for law enforcement, be prepared for a long wait. As in forever.
It doesn’t work that way, and hasn’t for a very long time.
They will eventually succeed at this.
Escalation cycles are inevitable. Response and counter-responses will be lethal on all sides.
