What about the million+ refugees to Europe over the last five years or so. Do we bear a responsibility for their well being?
It is terrible that these people live in shit holes. We live in a country where we generally get along. Weve tried to give that to these counties. They are too interested in killing each other to get their dollars.
That is not my problem.
Its seems there is a ton of bloodlust here on FR. We should be focused on OUR interests and people. The EU and the other countries in the ME should focus on their issues.
You cannot express outrage (my term, not yours) or lack of interest that the Kurds have been poking the Turks, and then get mad at them for responding. Paying attention to one side of a two sided situation is not a good plan.
So now 700 plus ISIS terrorists are on the loose but Trump tells us the Mexican border is more of an issue that that?
Those ISIS fighters are not coming here. You are buying into the delusions sold to you over the past 20 years.
Its not worth the billions of dollars it would cost to track them down again. And they are certainly not worth the blood of one American. European oil and gas are notour problem. And that is what this is all about.
Sure but if seriously really was about removing troops from the middle east why not draw down from Afghanistan where most of the US troops are and have been for 16 years. If Trump pulls out of Afghanistan then I will consider his motivations genuine.
If Congress wants to intervene, they have the power to declare war.
No more undeclared wars. Too many of my friends and their sons have come back from them in boxes in the last 5+ decades.
