It was dead calm over virtually all of the shutoff areas south of Sonoma. The fact that wind is blowing in Healdsburg means nothing 150 miles to the South.

Santa Rosa had max winds of 24 on the 9th and 25 on the 10th. That's not "dead calm'.

That’s max wind. Peak gust was 31 and 36 on those two days.

You read the part where I said south of Sonoma, right?

The power was off in the Santa Cruz mountains and right down to the beaches. That’s 130 miles south of Santa Rosa. And it was indeed ‘dead calm’ here.

And if a lousy 25 mph wind can destroy PGE lines and touch off fires, they got WAY more problems then anyone thought. Since any winter storm can produce 80+ mph winds, the lines should be able to withstand that with at least a FS of 2.0.
