Have they determined if SpongeBob Squarepants is a real sponge (as an animal that grows in the sea) or a synthetic one (like the cheap sponges for sale in Wal-Mart)? That could have a bearing on this issue.

Are you actually suggesting that a synthetic sponge doesn't have a right to identify as a sea sponge?
