Taiwans National Day, also known as Double 10 Day, is a time to commemorate those who stand up for freedom and against Chinese Communist oppression. I was proud to visit Liberty Square as part of the celebration to show my support & appreciation for the people of Taiwan. pic.twitter.com/J2XdUOQD3j— Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) October 10, 2019

Expecting Philadelphia City Hall to be hoisting up the ROC flag to honor their holiday.
Yesterday I continued my Indo-Pacific friends & allies tour in Taiwan, where I had the honor & privilege to meet with Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen. Later I met with Taiwans Minister of Foreign Affairs Jaushieh Joseph Wu & then participated in Taiwans National Day ceremony. pic.twitter.com/9Eu9rsgWfu— Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) October 10, 2019

I saw this article in Taipei Times about his visit.

They should be very worried about now. It doesn’t seem likely Trump would defend them if/when China attacks.
