The Iranian tanker, spilling oil into the Red Sea, is being diverted back towards Iran. An Iranian oil tanker has been been damaged near the Saudi port city of Jeddah, Iran's foreign ministry has confirmed. Iranian state news agency ISNA said this morning that an Iranian oil tanker was been hit by two missiles, citing the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).

Never trust that it was a complicated plan when it can be easily attributed to stupidity and carelessness.
I’d say the Iranian-backed Houthi accidentally fired on the Iranian ship, thinking it was someone else’s.
Since there are sanctions in place, it would make sense that an Iranian oil tanker might be flying a flag from another country.
I’m thinking that was a smollet also.....anyone will real intent and capability would have smoked that tanker...no bandaid fixes...

It’s a start. Now rubblize iran’s entire military and infrastructure and don’t let them rebuild until all the mullahs are hanging from lamp posts.
