Most Jewish Americans are descendants of immigrants from Russia and surrounding areas. Socialist revolutionaries prostelatized to minority groups like Jews in the run up to the Russian revolution. They told Jews that Socialism would eliminate antisemitism and all forms of prejudice. A lot of Jews embraced this idealistic vision.
When they came to America, they settled in big cities with other minorities. Since Jews were used to being persecuted, they were hopeful that if all these urban minorities stuck together, they could protect themselves from the WASP majority, who were prominent in rural areas of the country. And it was in rural areas of the Old Country where the ancestors of these Jewish Americans were persecuted.
So the affinity that some Jews feel for Socialism is based on a mix of urban prejudice toward flyover country, and an idealistic desire to bond with other minorities.
But by now, most religious Jews have figured out that Socialism is the enemy of Judeo-Christian principals.
Is there a widespread (but not universal) Jewish resentment against Western Civilization? Do Jews, like Muslims and Christians (in their own distinct ways), seek world domination? Is it racist or bigoted to ask? If so, why is it not racist or bigoted to ask the question about other groups?

It all started two thousand years ago when a new religion (and please note that I am not talking about American-style Fundamentalist Protestantism) laid claim to the Jewish patrimony, and one way to accomplish this was to blacken their name, disassociate them from their holy ancestors, and basically make the claim that the formerly Chosen People were now the Evil Nation. This is very much a part of historical, non-Fundamentalist chrstianity. I mean, really . . . "deicide?" "Chrst killers?" I thought he had to die to redeem the world but apparently not since for two thousand years the vast majority of chrstians have acted as if they wish it had never happened. Since they reject penal substitution as heretical, about the only purpose served bye the crucifixion has been to use it as an excuse to "take their place" and blacken their name to an extent not done to any other people in history.
That's the first half of the reason. Here's the second:
Although it didn't happen immediately, two millennia of this kind of treatment (especially when combined with the tempting yet poisonous aroma of the "enlightenment") some Jews actually came to define themselves exclusively as opponents of chrstianity. When have any liberal Jews ever even acknowledge that G-d ordered the extermination of at least eight separate nations??? They honestly know absolutely nothing about Judaism but assume it reduces to being against everything chrstianity is for, and being for everything chrstianity is against. As far as they're concerned, history only began two thousand years ago.
Unfortunately, the so-called "official Jewish leadership" is made up of such people. I pay no attention to such people and don't care if they ever come around or not. All I'm interested in are Torah Jews. Maybe that's a lousy attitude, but during the days of darkness in Egypt HaShem killed more Jews than he wound up killing Egyptians. Only a minority left Egypt.
Another thing they have done is to try to supersede and supplant the Torah and the Revelation at Sinai with a "passion play" in which the Jews, through two thousand years of suffering and death, have allegedly redeemed the world from the outmoded concept of objective religious truth. This is the most disgusting part of all. For them the central event of all history (which again, is only 2000 years long) is Churban 'Europa' (the Holocaust). For them it is the Holocaust that makes the Jews Jewish (never mind about all the time from creation until then). And the reason for "Holocaust education" is to create a counter Jewish "mission" of creating and enforcing a non-Theistically based moral system. This is why Holocaust museums never mention G-d or the Torah. The exaltation of the Holocaust as the central event in all history serves to cement the idea that the essential Jewish mission is to serve as chrstianity's free-thinking, irreverent, iconoclastic bad guys. (I hope it goes without saying that I am adamantly opposed to "Holocaust education" as it currently exists. Teaching the world about G-d and the Noachide Laws is what is needed to solve today's problems. But by defining Jews as primarily the free-thinking rebels that the prudish, blue nosed chrstians tried to wipe out, they attempt to actually make the Torah "un-Jewish."
Dershowitz of of absolutely no interest. Neither are the ADL, AJCs (both of them), Hadassah, or all "official" local Jewish councils.
The true leaders of the Jewish Nation always have been, are today, and for all time shall be the Torah Sages. The very fact that so many conservatives can't tell one group from the other is a sign of the success of the liberal project.
If I may make a suggestion, any time you read or hear the word "Jew" (or "Jews"), replace that word in your mind with "Ancient Israelite" (or "Ancient Israelites"). If that doesn't help to correct some of the stupid thinking going on (as it won't for all the "palaeos," "euros," and "civilizationists") then you're beyond hope.
But my eyes and my hope are placed in only one thing: HaShem. It's impossible to get Him mixed up with Dershowitz, Bertold Brecht, or Lenny Bruce. Try it and see.
Then there's the inconvenient fact that Judaism (and Noachism for non-Jews) remains the one and only True Religion. Once you recognize that, all the liberal Jews in the world can't make an anti-Semite out of you.
No, but the non-Torah-observant Jews (secular Jews) are amplified by the media, whereas the Torah-observant Jews live their lives in relative obscurity. In NYC there are many secular Jews - they voted to elect Hillary to the senate.
The Hillary-supporting secularJews are no more anti-western civilization than other Democrats; so yes of course they are anti-western civ, and anti- Judeo-Christian ethic.
The Judeo-Christian ethic is the foundation of modern western civilization.
