I’ve never in my life donated to a Democrat politician’s campaign BUT if Chelsea runs, I’ll be very tempted to drop some cash on her leading primary opponent(s). It’d be a waste of time to wait for the general election to try to defeat her, as it’s a safe Dem seat.
Her wealth is estimated at 30 million. I guess after all her hard work for the people that was enough.

Good question. I thought seats were vacant until a special election. Senate seats are a little different and could vary by state.
