For those people who need medical devices 24 hours per day, I guess they will have to move their bed to Avaya Stadium.
California is so messed up. But then, what do you expect when corrupt and incompetent people have the majority vote and they elect corrupt and incompetent people like themselves to hold political office.
Anyone with a family member requiring 24/7 power for medical equipment like an oxygen concentrator that has not made plans and have equipment in place for outages are fools. If my wife is off oxygen more than a few minutes her oxygen levels drop into the 70% range. I installed a generator with a weeks fuel supply when she started using the equipment.
You have to be prepared for even small outages as lightning strikes and cars knocking down power poles are something that cannot be planned for and usually occur at inopportune moments. Saying "I guess I should have bought a generator" during an event with a persons life at stake is criminal procrastination in my book.
