There is something not being said about this problem.

It is my belief that it is not necessary to shut down the electricity to all users in a specific area, resulting in no gasoline, traffic lights, groceries, etc.

The power companies could simply shut down transformers in critical areas so that only those areas would be affected.

This is what happens when specific areas suffer storm damage causing wires down.

This is not about fire safety. This is PG&S form of revenge. After being blamed for the CalFire, this is PG&Es “screw you” campaign.

“Blame us for the CalFire? OK, we will just shut down power for days on end anytime there is a chance of fire, and you just see what you get.”
