I think conservatives who condemn Fox News for failing their conservative purity test are misguided at best and idiots at worst. Every night in prime time Fox has three hours of pretty solid conservative programming - Carlson, Hannity, and Ingraham. There are also Judge Jeanine, Mark Levin, Greg Gutfeld, and others of a solid conservative bent. I can't stand Shep Smith and Chris Wallace, so I don't watch them.

Yes, Carlson and the others sometimes have guests I don't like, and I have the mute button to deal with it. But these shows are an enormous antidote to the MSM alternative, and we would be much worse off if Fox wasn't there.

Thanks for responding to my post.

“Purity test” ... now that’s a good turn of phrase, and one I haven’t seen for a while.

I can say that purity tests, litmus tests, single issues, whatever, are a poor way to evaluate politicians and pundits. As adults, we should recognize that nobody is going to agree with us 100 percent of the time.
