John Durham broadens scope of Russia origins inquiry into events in 2017
Washington Examiner ^ | October 08, 2019 | Daniel Chaitin & Jerry Dunleavy

After months of investigating, U.S. Attorney John Durham has broadened his team to include additional agents and resources as the timeline they are examining has extended, according to Fox News.

The investigation of the investigators, led by Attorney General William Barr and Durham as his right-hand man, had targeted the beginning of the Trump-Russia counterintelligence investigation to the 2016 election. It has been elongated to include at least the spring of 2017, when former FBI Director Robert Mueller was appointed special counsel after former FBI Director James Comey was fired by Trump and leaked the contents of some of his memos to the media.

Durham's team has been focusing so far on the FBI's reliance on informants, some of whom, such as Cambridge professor Stefan Halper, made contact with members of the Trump campaign. Durham may also be looking into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses...

The Barr-Durham investigation is separate from the one just finished by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. The DOJ watchdog investigated allegations of FISA abuse by the DOJ and the FBI, and Horowitz has spoken with Durham, who is handling any criminal referrals from Horowitz’s investigation...

The report from Horowitz’s investigation is expected by the end of October, but it is not known when the Barr-Durham inquiry will conclude.

It better be, Horowitz only knows how to whitewash to cover for the Deep State.

In the Durham investigation, it looks like in late spring of 2020...around 20-odd Obama-team members will be asked to appear in a grand jury situation. Some might be able to get a deal going. Some won’t. Joe Biden, I think....will be dragged in and have to give a sworn statement. As will Hunter Biden.

Unlike the Mueller report, there’s some prison time coming up for folks. Even the team around the Hillary classified email business might be facing a grand jury situation.

Ahh yes, crimes committed just AFTER any pardons issued by Obola for previous crimes.

If Hussein’s mobsters are not held to account, the Republic is finished.

It seems Durham is following the threads as the Coup unravels. All this info makes my head swim. Imagine being responsible for building strong criminal cases against so many plotters.

Now it’s my turn.

~~~
This is exactly what they wanted to avoid.
“Lock her up” didn’t just scare Hillary. It scared and offended a LOT of swamp creatures.
The worst part about it is, they doubled down and went on the offensive. They didn’t even take the chance to see if they could survive (as a lot of political elite do) with slaps on the wrists and deals to testify.
We’ll see how much of a turn Trump really gets. The more desperate the swamp gets, the more unpredictable. Some may be inclined to go out with a whimper, but most are fine with the glory of the ‘resistence’.
Memo to Rod Rosenstein:
Rod, I highly recommend that you stop wearing that white t-shirt with the big target on the back. It might give some U.S. Attorneys ideas that could affect your long term health.
It took Mueller two years to find...nothing. Durham and Barr have been on the case for 6 months now and there is so much criminality to expose. Its hard to have patience but I hope we see indictments soon.
I think Huber and Durham may be quietly also investigating the role of the Establishment Media (particularly the New York Times and Washington Post) and Big Tech (i.e., Facebook, Google and Twitter) in the coup attempt.
I pray you are right, but I am skeptical. We have been told for years that justice is coming for all of the corruption in politics. Well it only comes for Republican wrongdoers. Democrats almost always skate free. President Trump is swimming against a strong current of swamp creatures from both parties.
Yep. I suspect Durham’s real job is to compartmentalize Obama admin criminal Democrats and their depositions.
Remember when Hillary went nuts on Donna Brasil after the Matt Lauer interview/debate? “you got clean this up cuz if this guys wins we will all hang in nooses” is basically what she said
It took Mueller a few months to entrap, indict and get guilty pleas from Trump supporters. Where there is a will, there is a way...
Horowitz and now Durham slow walking their investigations should make it clear the DOJ has no interest in prosecuting criminal Democrats to the benefit of Trump.
We are talking a Grand Jury in DC and a Courtroom in DC. So I don’t hold out much hope if convictions in the DC swamp.
Horowitz I don’t have faith in. However, I don’t read Durham/Barr the way you do. I think they are doing it right. Six months isn’t long for this kind of investigation. But the American people need to see some justice soon.
I have been curious. What says the Grand Jury must be in DC? Why not impaneled at one of the many other Federal Courts around the country?
