I don’t give a Fluck about these men and their lack of a job.
There are jobs everywhere and it seems impossible a man couldn’t find one and it oays well
I think there are two ways of looking at this —
1) There are a bunch of lazy, shiftless guys out there who aren’t trying hard enough to find jobs.
2) Our culture (government and media) have really messed with us. Women and other special interest groups get lots of privileges but the average Man out there gets shafted. A lot of men have given up because they perceive the deck is stacked against them.
I think society tilts toward women more than it should. I don’t favor discrimination, but I think the message has become “Women are awesome and men suck” and that is not a good message.
Really? I am 58. The project I was working on ended. Ive been looking since January. I could work as an overnight representative in a call center or help desk. Supervisory? Management.? Or Executive?
Nope.
Spotless work record. Except I took two years off to be a caretaker and executor for my dying mother. I guess in those two years I forgot everything I knew.
Lord knows...I might have to take time to care for my wife or something.
I guess I will go learn how to code.
Whoa there, Nelly.
May I suggest you take a step back, a deep breath and contemplate a moment. Everything is not is it may seem from your point of view. Then again, psrhaps this is just another BS story from the MSM to gin up discontent.
So, again, step back and take a deep breath before you disparage unemployed men.
That reminds me of my Brother-in-law. Always crying he could not find a job, I would open the Tulsa World and show him lots of jobs making decent money!
In 1980, I found HIM a great job doing the same work I was doing and making great money and greater benefits! Called him on the phone, told him to get over there and get his application in and described the job.
He said....”I don’t want to do that kind of work!” I simply said..”OK.” and hung up the phone. Never tried again.
He really did not want to work, and wanted the family to support him. Drawing Social Security he makes very little and when his wife quit her minimum wage job, she applied for his SS. Come to find out, HE had not worked long enough in the last 20 years for her to qualify on his income at all, so she is drawing on her minimum wage SS income.
Now their kids are supporting them.
There are lots of jobs out there, but in fact many of them don’t pay well. (That’s no excuse for these men not to take them, mind you.)
