Could the police and journalists investigate whether this was a gang attempting to extort protection money; bartender refused; gangsters came back and shot up the place? I don’t know that any of that happened, but they ought to look for obvious explanations.
They won’t, that requires effort
Nowadays, they’ll only quote polite reports, witnesses and family members
And raise race issues et al even when none are present
