House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s son Paul Pelosi Jr. visited Ukraine in 2017 to meet with government officials in connection to a business initiative.
Now, unearthed records reveal that Paul Pelosi Jr. was an executive of a gas industry company that did business in Ukraine – and his mother Nancy Pelosi was featured in one of the company’s promotional videos.

Does anyone know that a Ukrainian company serving a 700 mile pipe delivering Russian gas to Europe employs more people than a number of people employed in gas exploration by Russian Gazprom which is the top global gas producer and once the top company in the World as of 2008 before Ukraine started to sabotage it?
Not only that. Ukrainian company in charge of most of Gazprom gas transit to Europe operates at annual loss of several billions USD. That’s despite ridiculously high transit fees. They also manage to steal a great amount of gas and to neglect their infrastructure forcing Gazprom to spend a ton of money to fix it. That’s a lot of pork.

I would say the Republicans that are resigning are following the spirit set out by the Founders. A few years of service and then return to your own livelihood, whatever it may be. A permanent professional political class was never even imagined - and we have been suffering that plague for decades. We have a toxic ocean of Plunketts of Tammany Hall and they are stealing us blind.
Now - politics is a stepping stone for money. Kamala Harris is just hanging on right now for more notoriety so she can get more money.
If the job of President came with a vow of poverty, few would take it.
The other damaging factor is the entrenched professional bureaucratic class that is taking too much power away from elected officials. We are seeing this in the government institutions that have arrayed themselves against Trump. It is apparent that these people hang onto the walls of government like mussels, are highly partisan, and can affect rules in disastrous ways. Especially when the underlying law is silent on a particular point. The CIA, FBI, NSA, and all the rest of the swamp are impossible to root out and will stop change if that change, no matter how good for the nation, is not in their personal interest. Since these bureaucrats are deliberately destroying democracy through their entrenched positions, I believe action must be taken to address the problem.
JFK said he would splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the wind. He understood how damaging an uncontrolled and unaccountable nation within a nation could be. We have just witnessed some of that, as they try to remove a president, that they cannot beat at the ballot box.
