Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders hasn't left the hospital since Tuesday night, and is still recovering from an operation to place two stents in a blocked artery.
But the 78-year-old socialist firebrand, the oldest person in the 2020 field, plans to be on stage for a Democratic presidential primary debate on October 15 in Ohio.
'Bernie is up and about, his wife Jane said in a statement. 'Yesterday, he spent much of the day talking with staff about policies, cracking jokes with the nurses and doctors, and speaking with his family on the phone.'
'His doctors are pleased with his progress, and there has been no need for any additional procedures,' she said. 'We expect Bernie will be discharged and on a plane back to Burlington before the end of the weekend. He'll take a few days to rest, but he's ready to get back out there and is looking forward to the October debate.'
Sanders canceled a string of presidential campaign events on Wednesday after suffering what a spokesman said was 'chest discomfort' that required the stents.

Doctor: Bernie, don’t be stupid. You will be dead in six months if you don’t stop your campaign now.
Bernie: I feel great!
Bernie’s wife: I am not going to your funeral if this campaign continues.
Bernie: You promise! Let’s go!

I didn’t know the mummified communist has a heart.
Rumor has it, they had to graft skin from Bernie’s asshole to shore up the valves in his heart.
Since his asshole was removed, he has made a conversion to Conservatism.

Noted that in a socialist healthcare system he’d be waiting about a month for the procedure.
If we had socialized medicine like he wants, he’s still be sitting in the waiting room.

People should look at Sanders as they would look at someone running as an avowed Nazi - or worse.
He’s a communist, and its the most evil, destructive, satanic ideology the world has ever seen. Nazis are a distant second in terms of destruction and death.

It’s only few days but seems like I read people here say they were out of the hospital pretty quick after doing this.
In all seriousness, what kind of person would actually continue running in such a situation?
Normal - I think it’s only an overnight stay if it’s a preventative measure.
Now if he’s there for longer than 48 hours we can start to question how bad it really was.
Bernie is an old Soviet communist. Hopefully he goes the same way the Soviets did.

Almost 100% of these people in politics are thieving parasites. Bernie just wants to make that kind of thing law.
Doing it for the campaign donations and behind scenes deals a la Qatar. I am sure there is a way to siphon off donations.
