Bolton favors Ukraine because it’s a buffer state between Russia and the EU. There’s no way he would seek to make Ukraine the scapegoat in this imbroglio. That would cause future GOP administrations to want to throw Ukraine to the wolves (i.e. Putin or whatever successor eventually rules Russia). Bolton’s a completely cynical realist - his motto is nuke ‘em till they glow (or whatever option is available to the president, given PR and legal constraints).
If Bolton is the traitor, send him to Gitmo.
Bolton is not a CIA employee. To falsely represent him as CIA on top of everything else wrong with this is too much for even the most rabid Democrats to consider.

If Trump had followed Bolton’s advice, we would be at war right now. I do NOT understand the silliness of much of the right in their fealty to Bolton. Trump hiring him was one of the dumbest things he has done, although fortunately he then ignored almost all his advice, before firing him.
Bolton has now gone on a “revenge” tour, showing all that he his a swampcritter whose “difference” with big state liberals consists only in who is guiding the big state into wars. He is a convenient zealot playing right into the hands of the uberstate with its ceaseless appetite for war and the moneys which flow from it.
It will not surprise me in the least if Bolton is all cozy cozy out of a desire for retribution.
Trump promised to get us out of wars. Since when is that “anti conservative?”
