There are countless ways to analyze her 2016 loss, and the margins were narrow enough for me to believe she lost the serious white feminist vote (despite the “I’m with her” motto) to Jill Stein - specifically after she stayed with BJ after her goofy “stand by my man” comment. She insisted she wouldn’t “stand by her man” if the allegations were true, then they all turned out to be too true - and she stayed.
