Six ways to Sunday? Intel chiefs not only altered rules about firsthand knowledge for whistleblowers

Remember when Sen. Chuck Schumer, in response to criticism President Trump leveled at the intelligence community, retorted with this?

“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you,” Schumer told MSNBC’s host Rachel Maddow.

Turns out that's an understatement as the Federalist's Sean Davis has now uncovered in a truly outrageus report.

We already know that the intelligence community's inspector general (IGIC} mysteriouly changed its rules for anyone filing a whistleblower complaint, to not needing to have one's information firsthand just before the famed whistleblower filed his or her report sometime around August.

Now it comes to light that this same intelligence committee inspector general's office changed its rules after the whistleblower complaint was filed, not before. And they changed the rules to accommodate the embittered anti-Trump intelligence official, Davis reported.

A brief bullet point list gives some of the flavor of how badly this 'whistleblower' report has been planned and rigged:

The CIA and FBI have become enemies of the citizens and need to be disbanded.

Former top CIA official on Tucker Carlson show calls for full Senate probe of deep state CIA.
They’re all Obama’s people......moreover, official says CIA is at the heart of both Russia and Ukraine scandals.

CFP BLOGGER Hoping Trump now fulfills JFK’s purported vow to
“splinter the C.I.A. in a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds.”
Although we know where that got him. (as Schumer says.....they have ways)

D/S recognizes in Trump a man who truly intends to restore and protect the Constitution, and they have been going after him from before day one. Luckily, he is squeaky-clean, or they would have already succeeded. I have little doubt that they have already tried to do a Dallas on him, but he has excellent security.

Godspeed, President Donald J Trump. Smash the traitors, Restore the Republic! We are with you.

But, but, but, they said that it has always been this way. The fact that the Form was changed means nothing.
Oh, look, a squirrel!

This is incredibly stupid.

The whistleblower stated on the form that he did have direct knowledge of some of the alleged acts and the IG agreed.

He had direct knowledge. It doesn’t matter what the form says.

He can fire every one of these deep state coup conspirators. He can also prosecute them. Not doing so is leading to even more outrageous crimes by them.

Proving that the IGIC is a part of the Democrat coup plot and should be fired.

Time for 1000 anonymous complaints against Schiff, Pelosi, AOC & rest of the brats, Schumer, all commie Rat politicians. Time to go to war and make anonymous complaints about all of them. I am sure every stinking one of them is a criminal with dozens of rumors of impropriety, just like Biden’s corruption.

Now that whistleblowers only need hearsay, how about a few thousand anonymous complaints against commie Rats?

He had direct knowledge. It doesn’t matter what the form says.

To accept these assertions, one has to accept the complainant's word uncritically. "Trust me" is not a productive statement from anyone in the government.

Well, him and Trump’s ICIG:

”As part of his determination that the urgent concern appeared credible, the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community determined that the Complainant had official and authorized access to the information and sources referenced in the Complainant’s Letter and Classified Appendix, including direct knowledge of certain alleged conduct, and that the Complainant has subject matter expertise related to much of the material information provided in the Complainant’s Letter and Classified Appendix. In short, the ICIG did not find that the Complainant could “provide nothing more than second-hand or unsubstantiated assertions,””

The whistleblower stated on the form that he did have direct knowledge of some of the alleged acts and the IG agreed.
He had direct knowledge.

So you've seen the actual complaint wherein said first hand knowledge is stated?

Got a link?

Or is this...letter to Burr and Schitt for brains...what you're talking about?

"I learned/heard from U.S. officials" is NOT first hand (direct) knowledge.

Please help me understand and find out where such direct knowledge is shown. I'm really interested in knowing what direct knowledge this person has.

Office of the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community’s Statement on Processing of Whistleblower Complaints

Would you like me to go over some glaring inconsistencies within that News Release, semimojo?

You know what I find really odd? Therefore, although the Complainant’s Letter acknowledged that the Complainant was not a direct witness to the President’s July 25, 2019, telephone call with the Ukrainian President, the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community determined that other information obtained during the ICIG’s preliminary review supported the Complainant’s allegations. That statement, which BTW comes shortly after your pull quote, directly contradicts your earlier assertion that the whistleblower "had direct knowledge".

How could you miss that?!

Remember those inconsistencies I spoke of? Here is one...

The Complainant on the form he or she submitted on August 12, 2019 in fact checked two relevant boxes: The first box stated that, “I have personal and/or direct knowledge of events or records involved”; and the second box stated that, “Other employees have told me about events or records involved.”

See what I mean? Isn't it a crime to lie on Federal forms?

My assertion was that the whistleblower stated on the form that he had direct knowledge, and he did so state.

You’re not arguing in good faith.

But then again, not many are in this stupid sideshow.
