State Dept inspector general expected to give 'urgent' Ukraine briefing on Hill
ABC ^

Posted on 10/01/2019 2:48:17 PM PDT by janetjanet998

The State Department’s inspector general is expected to brief staffers from several House and Senate committees on Wednesday afternoon about documents obtained from the department’s Office of the Legal Adviser concerning documents related to the State Department and Ukraine, sources familiar with the planned briefing told ABC News.

Details of the briefing, expected to be conducted by Steve Linick, the inspector general at State, remain unknown. Linick is expected to meet with congressional staff in a secure location on Capitol Hill.

The unusual nature and timing – during a congressional recess – of the briefing suggest it may be connected to a recent intelligence community whistleblower allegation which describes, in part, the State Department’s role in coordinating interactions between Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney, and Ukrainian officials.

Obama guy

Steve A. Linick serves as the Inspector General of the Department of State. In 2013, he was nominated by the President of the United States[1] and confirmed by the United States Senate.[2]

The rat bastard media is desperately trying to create Russian Collusion 2, but like most sequels, it’s never as good as the 1st, and the 1st sucked.

Is Paul Ryan still running the Republicans in the Congress? Kevin McCarthy has shown me nothing! Why isn’t he demanding to interview gossip whisperer? Why is he demanding to talk to Hunter Biden?

Our Mission

This includes assisting Department principals and policy officers in formulating and implementing the foreign policies of the United States, and promoting the development of international law and its institutions as a fundamental element of those policies. The Office is organized to provide direct legal support to the Department of State’s various bureaus, including both regional and geographic offices (those which focus on specific areas of the world) and functional offices (those which deal with specific subject matters such as economics and business, international environmental and scientific issues, or internal management).

"The State Department has faced criticism in recent weeks for connecting Giuliani to multiple Ukrainian officials about re-opening an investigation into for Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter."

If state is getting criticized for doing their function (slim chance that it may be) maybe state is going to bite back.

Missing piece to the Ukraine puzzle: State Department's overture to Rudy Giuliani

The coverage suggests Giuliani reached out to new Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s team this summer solely because he wanted to get dirt on possible Trump 2020 challenger Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s business dealings in that country.

Politics or law could have been part of Giuliani’s motive, and neither would be illegal.

But there is a missing part of the story that the American public needs in order to assess what really happened: Giuliani’s contact with Zelensky adviser and attorney Andrei Yermak this summer was encouraged and facilitated by the U.S. State Department.

Why would Ukraine want to talk to Giuliani, and why would the State Department be involved in facilitating it? According to interviews with more than a dozen Ukrainian and U.S. officials, Ukraine’s government under recently departed President Petro Poroshenko and, now, Zelensky has been trying since summer 2018 to hand over evidence about the conduct of Americans they believe might be involved in violations of U.S. law during the Obama years.

The coup plotters won’t stop until traitors end up in jail or voting moves from the ballot box to other alternatives.
