Congressional committees have no real power and have become accustomed to overreach over most of the last 100 years or so. Congress is a legislative body only, not a judicial or law enforcement one, but they throw around “investigations” and subpoenas like confetti. It’s all BS. If you read the Constitution carefully, you’ll see they don’t really even have an oversight role over the Executive.
No doubt Hold On Now would have the proper connections; perhaps ask Sen. Ted Cruz (or someone in the Admin can go to to Jay Sekulow, or Glenn Reynolds, or the Supreme Court, or check history of deliberations & such during prior impeachments?)
He also states that the depositions - as requested - are voluntary and that staffers are not compelled to appear. The only 'red line' he imposes is that the staffers must be accompanied to any deposition by an Executive Branch attorney. But he doesn't "shut it down"

Need all hands on deck to fight this full-blown coup attempt. The Dems know they can’t beat Trump at the ballot box. They also must suspect RBG will not make it much longer on the bench (you know they are getting daily health reports), thus the flurry of activity from the Dems, the Swamp, and the lame stream media partners in crime.
The Dems and the media have stepped up their war, the GOP and the administration need to start supporting the President and fighting back, HARD.

Confirmed, per a House official: A deposition with Marie L. Yovanovitch, the former American ambassador to Ukraine, has been moved to Oct. 11.
And a deposition scheduled for Thursday with Kurt D. Volker, the former United States special envoy to Ukraine, is on as of now
