Judge Lamberth stated his goal was to restore the public's faith in their government, which may have been damaged because of the Clinton email investigation.
Hopefully sunlight is going to properly shake faith in government, not restore it. Faith in government is a fools posture anyway. The government is fundamentally dishonest. This is why the founders tried to keep it small, no standing army, very limited jurisdiction. It's grown way outside its boundary with the assistance of the federal judiciary,
