House Democrats voted Thursday to fast-track an electronic medical records system that would serve illegal immigrants, something America’s veterans have been seeking for years.
The House passed the bill on a largely party line vote of 230-184, American Military News reported.

“I oppose this bill because it is poorly conceived, erroneously drafted and extremely risky,” Republican Rep. Jim Banks of Indiana said.

Republican Rep. Mark Walker of North Carolina said in a statement that the Democratic bill was wrong on multiple levels.
“Earlier this week, I said impeachment was the House Democrats only agenda. I was mistaken. They just passed legislation that will give illegal immigrants better health care records than our veterans and servicemembers. More and more they are making their priorities clear and it’s absolutely shameful,” he said.

Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett said in a Twitter video that Republicans added an amendment to the Democratic bill to ensure veterans receive the same treatment as illegal immigrants under the bill.
Democrats voted down that amendment, Burchett said.

I have rung doorbells working campaigns in 2 different states over the years and I have not found a person who answered the door actually for illegal immigration, especially those who came here LEGALLY and became citizens as they view illegals as ‘line cutters’
They just use their votes to cheat their way into power, then leave them to live in poverty and squalor, while they line their own pockets.

The House knows full well this will never pass in the Senate and, if it did, Pres. Trump would veto it. It’s just another last ditch effort to gather more illegal votes.
Democrats should hang their heads in shame for the way they treat our veterans. Better yet, maybe they should just hang. (Hey, that’s another thing I can agree with)
That’s been my take as well.
Except for Trump, the Republican party has acted way too timidly in combating illegal immigration.
They played it off as if it was a losing issue.
I think it’s a winning issue in California, if our guys would just pull their heads out.
I have talked to more than a few Latin people, and I have yet to find one who backs illegal immigration.
The flaw in the logic is if I go after Illegal imigrants, then I lose the vote of the Hispanics that are here legally and can vote and that is wrong.
That’s not sound logic.
Situated Latin people have jobs that are easily gamed by illegals. They are the bullseye for newcomers seeking jobs.
If you and your family have played by the rules and struggled to make a life for yourself, how would you like to see people coming here and living off your tax dollars?
As the illegals get healthcare, housing, schooling, and other forms of government handouts, how would you like it seeing people of your race competing with or living off your tax dollars?
As for people living in Latin areas where there are gang drive by shootings, their kids are forced to join gangs, and you have family or friends who have had family members gunned down, how happy are you going to be knowing illegals are participating in gang activity?
How would you like to have a business in one of these areas having to pay “protection” money to keep your business open?
Don’t get the idea Latin people are all in favor of illegal immigration.
Many of them are not.
Losing Latinos by opposing illegal immigration is only if we allow the Left to control the narrative as being about race. It is not. Stopping shipments of deadly fentanyl from freely crossing the border is certainly not something anywhere near a majority of Latinos in this country legally would support. They do not support having the violent and brutal MS-13 gang entering this country. They do not support having their own jobs taken by those coming here illegally and driving down their wages.
The issue is effectively countering the false narrative and not allowing the Left to control the terms of the discussion - that is the problem for all issues, not just illegal immigration.
