False choices - Democracy vs. Deep State.

It is obvious, now, that if Democracy does not produce a strong state which acts for the people, a weak state (which is what we have) can be overmastered by seditionists and enemies of the people.

Libertarians (and I was one, once) have deconstructed the popular strong state only to see it replaced by a permanent government hostile to our interests.

Donald Trump is a remarkable man, with excellent instincts. But he has failed to constitute a strong government, and this is why we are losing.

Get real! The President is surrounded with career worthless bureaucrats in DC that he cannot get rid of! A friend of mine that works for the WH told me they are the worst and play little set up games with him all the time like hiding his pens, taking all the paper out of the copier after he leaves, record all his conversations, etc. and if you reprimand them, they file a grievance.
