Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) on Sunday criticized President Trump for quoting a pastor saying impeachment could trigger a "Civil War-like fracture" in the country.
"I have visited nations ravaged by civil war," Kinzinger tweeted.
"I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant."

The rare rebuke from a Republican member of Congress came in response to Trump tweeting a quote from Pastor Robert Jeffress on Fox News.

Gosh, didn’t Abraham Lincoln who said a house divided cannot stand? Sounds like he was acknowledging in a more oblique war that civil was on the horizon. It is on the horizon again and DC needs to be put on notice. There is a limit to how much of this the people are going to stand for this outrageous destructive nonsense. Pres. Trump has warned them, they should take heed!
The 1860 election was practically a referendum on civil war, and folks knew it, going in.
Pastor Jeffress: I think it’s hard to take Nancy Pelosi’s prayer seriously. It reminds me of a pyromaniac with a match in hand ready to set fire to a building saying, “Please pray with me that the damage I’m about to cause isn’t too severe.” If you’re really sincere about the prayer then put down the dang match… Democrats don’t care if they burn down and destroy this nation in the process… This week I traveled the country and spoke to thousands of Evangelicals and I have never seen then more angry about any issue than this attempt to illegitimately remove this President from office.

President Trump is following Article 2 section 3, clause 5 of the Constitution:
“he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed,”
Kinzinger should be backing his president by bringing those engaged in illegal actions (the Biden Ukraine quid pro quo) and the coup attempts against him to justice—not impeachment!
If America engages in a Civil War, it will not only be our people who suffer. Because of the worldwide interconnections, there will be a collapse like a house of cards worldwide. Starvation and medical shortages will add to the mortality.
