I remember reading an article about the last ice age where CO2 levels did indeed drop dangerously close to the extinction level, below which all plant life dies out and all life on the planet dies.

During the last “Glacial Maximum,” about 20,000 years ago, CO2 actually hit 180 PPM.

I have a link for that some place. I'll send it to you when I have time to look.

When it hits 150, every major land animal on Earth, the vegetarians, and the carnivores that eat them, will die.
