I remember reading an article about the last ice age where CO2 levels did indeed drop dangerously close to the extinction level, below which all plant life dies out and all life on the planet dies.

That chart showing CO2 levels and temperature levels certainly does NOT show a close correlation like Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth” showed.

I’ve heard from a mathematician I asked, and his take on models is:
You get less predictive power than the time of the data. In other words 50 years of date may only yield 20 or 25 years of predictive power. Possibly even less, as the stock market would not be a mystery at all.
