The incendiary on air war that broke out earlier this week, pitting several of the most prominent Fox News channel personalities against each other, has cooled off for the moment. The sudden flare-up of simmering grudges between Fox News’s opinion and news sides that finally boiled over into public view involved opinion host Tucker Carlson, news host Shepard Smith, and the channel’s senior legal analyst Andrew Napolitano. The war of harsh words that went back and forth on Carlson’s and Smith’s programs Tuesday and Wednesday, which also involved Carlson’s guest, Republican attorney Joseph diGenova, was unprecedented and was immediately seized on by a wide range of media as evidence of serious trouble at the country’s highest rated cable news channel.

Gabriel Sherman is the author of a critical biography of the late Fox News co-founder Roger Ailes and he writes often about goings on at FNC for left wing publications. On Thursday, Sherman posted a new article at Vanity Fair, “’It’s Management Bedlam’: Madness at Fox News as Trump Faces Impeachment.” Citing his usual, unnamed, anonymous sources, Sherman wrote:
Seeking to quell the internecine strife before it carried into a third day, Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and president Jay Wallace communicated to Smith this morning [Thursday September 27] to stop attacking Carlson, a person briefed on the conversation said. “They said if he does it again, he’s off the air,” the source said. (Fox News spokesperson Irena Briganti denied that management had any direct conversation with Smith).
Sherman buttressed his article with additional unsourced tidbits that represent raw, ideological red meat for his magazine’s Fox News-hating readers:

Look at this from the perspective of black Christian pastors-— vs. the implosion of the queer elites brought on by a crazy Jesuit popes rewriting of the Bible. This is a cabal that can only be eliminated by an OUTRAGED public of heterosexual FAMILY oriented people. The blacks take the abomination of homosexuality rather directly as a threat to males as head of the family vs. what the libs/plantation gubmint lefties have pushed... the matriarchy heritage of tribal Africa. In that subset alone this has the democrats fingerprints all over it.

I do not include Jessica Tarlov in that cabal. I’ve seen her on many broadcasts, and she is not offensive like the others, and is usually articulate in her reasoning, though I disagree with her positions. One of the worst, though, is that insufferable bald-headed guy with the smarmy smile (I think his name is Goldfarb or Goldstien).
Shemp is the head of the news division at about 5 million per year.
That Shep is the NEWS host is hilarious. That opinionated swish should have been fired after his hysterical coverage of Hurricane Katrina when he breathlessly reported that there was cannibalism going on in the Super Dome!
One suspects he knew something damning about one of his bosses to get away with such an egregious lie, staying on the Fox payroll for all these years as their token homosexual.

The five is stupid for letting Donna Brazil on. She is unwatchable. She is subversive she changes arguments and questions mid sentence and then she makes sexual innuendo jokes that not even a young good looking woman can do and still be a lady. Brazil’s is disgusting.

Therein lies the issue. Smith is just as much an "opinion" host as is Carlson - Smith just won't admit it, nor will Fox executives. Until he is replaced with news, Smith will always be the loser.
I was on a plane yesterday and watched Outnumbered. Tarlov was the designated dem. on the panel. Her voice is beyond horrible and she went after Pete Hegseth because he laughed at one of her insane comments. Chris Hahn is another one who makes us change the channel. As liberal as she is, at least Donna Brazile isn’t nasty. Juan is simply clueless.

Shepard is FNC’s “Liberace.” He’s a “personality” who appeals to older cat ladies and effeminate males who are his demographic, just as Liberace and Merv Griffin did in their day.
As we speak, FOX is about the last bastion of conservative wedges. But in their efforts to be politically “fair,” they have lost sight of their position they have been trying not to claim for years and never had. They have never before been a network of fair, they have had a conservative leaning. And that was why they were watched.
Basically, half of the people in the country are conservative, or something close to it. And FOX was their network. But with the idea that they should be “fair” to socialist, liberals, i.e. people that want to take over the people’s country, they are forsaking their audience for the “$.” And with their Alamo type situation, and that ABC has bought a big part of them to use their network scheduling to display their agenda, the network is going the way of the spotted owl.
If they don’t re-establish themselves as a conservative network to compete with the nn’s, the bc’s, and the majors, they are toast and will be over run like that mission in Texas I previously mentioned. They have their own swamp. Drain it!
