What is both DISHONEST & DISGUSTING about “firewood bans” to “protect the Spotted Owl” is that the MAIN DANGER to the Mexican Spotted Owl is PREDATION by other larger owls.
The smarter “environmentalists” KNOW that FACT but CHOOSE TO LIE about the subject, as they do about so many other subjects.
Fwiw, I’m a TEXAS MASTER NATURALIST/TPWD Volunteer & the PREDATION by other owls as the MAIN reason that Spotted Owls are “disappearing” is well known to professional Fish & Wildlife Biologists.

TRUE. - Fyi, I’m an “Environmentalist”/Conservationist but NOT a KOOK or a LIAR as most of the so-called “activists” demonstrably are.
To me, one of the saddest things about the “radical activists” of “the Enviromentalist movement” is that many of them actually KNOW LITTLE & will “fall for” & repeat as if the FOOLISHNESS that they heard/read “someplace” was truthful.
