I’d put Sandra Day O’Connor and the 1986 Amnesty over George HW in terms of Reagan’s mistakes. I am drawing a complete blank as to who should have succeeded Reagan in ‘88. If I recall the main competition was Bob Dole, Pat Robertson and Pete DuPont.

Paul Laxalt should’ve been VP and hence succeeded Reagan in ‘88. Although I wasn’t old enough to vote in ‘88, I preferred and endorsed Bob Dole over GHW Bush. The test was a quizlet selected by a pool and done electronically. The teacher didn’t write it but did select it and told the kids she picked a good one for them. So she knew what was in it.
