'30 REPUBLICAN SENATORS WOULD VOTE TO IMPEACH TRUMP' IF VOTE WAS SECRET, GOP CONSULTANT CLAIMS
Newsweek ^ | Sept 25 2019 | Jason Lemon

Prominent GOP consultant Mike Murphy claimed on Wednesday that he was told by a Republican senator that the majority of Republican senators "would vote to impeach" President Donald Trump if they could do so anonymously.

"These Senate Republicans, should the Democrats vote impeachment, which is far more likely than not, are going to be pinned down to a yes/no answer," Murphy, who previously advised Republican politicians including Mitt Romney, John McCain and Jeb Bush, said in an interview with MSNBC.

"The politics of it will get worse and worse for Trump," the Republican political consultant, who has long been critical of Trump, said.

Sorry but her calling the POTUS “Saudi Arabia’s bitch” didn’t make her look sane, it makes her look like an idiot on that too. She is a whack job on almost every issue

I know of sources that state 30 Democrat Senators would vote no to convict Pres. Trump.

Ironically the sources come from the same location as Mike Murphy, his dingle-berries around his anus.

Yes, we know that most Republican politicians are gutless, unprincipled worms - they've demonstrated it with their betrayals time and time again. Unfortunately for them, they can't weasel out of a public decision on this.

As presidential candidates, the Three Stooges have something in common. I suspect Murphy is the kind of guy who can relate to people reams of political minutia in a really entertaining way. But he stinks at the most important function of a political adviser - winning elections.

Murphy, who previously advised Republican politicians including Mitt Romney, John McCain and Jeb Bush. . .

Wait a minute. . . What do these guys have in common, it's coming to me. . .

Got it! They all ran for President, and lost.

(That Murphy guy is another Clausewitz.)

Article I Section 5 Clause 3:

Each House shall keep a Journal of its Proceedings, and from time to time publish the same, excepting such Parts as may in their Judgment require Secrecy; and the Yeas and Nays of the Members of either House on any question shall, at the Desire of one fifth of those Present, be entered on the Journal.
It takes 20 Senators to force the vote to be entered into the Journal.

They’d have to take a public vote to stab Caesar in the back.

There’s no secret conspiracy for them. And they’d have to basically vote to terminate their political careers by voting to oust the President.

Good luck with it.

On a similar note, if the popular vote were the measure, Hillary would be president. But it isn’t. So she ain’t. Why is this a story?
