Good but he needs to be very careful with that though.

If the Democrats had asked for a copy of an RNC server, we’d be outraged.

I’m not saying don’t do it. But I’m saying establish a chain of custody that allows the server to be investigated for specific crimes including: the email hacking, the deletion of subpoenaed emails, Play for pay with the Clinton foundation, Seth Rich murder, Biden payoffs, etc.

But political information that is not crime related, needs to be protected, as we would want them to do for us.

Market Watch: Trump mentioned CrowdStrike to Ukrainian president, and CrowdStrike doesn’t seem to know why

[the Market Watch article and Slate both have background on the subject, quoted below from Market Watch]

“With regards to our investigation of the DNC hack in 2016, we provided all forensic evidence and analysis to the FBI,” CrowdStrike said in a statement. “As we’ve stated before, we stand by our findings and conclusions that have been fully supported by the U.S. Intelligence community.”

When asked specifically again why Trump would possibly be mentioning CrowdStrike by name, the spokeswoman said CrowdStrike had no further comment.

CrowdStrike had been hired by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2016 to assist in an investigation into a hack of the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

I don’t think Trump wanted a copy of the server - he wants Ukraine to assist our AG in an investigation of that and the events leading to the FAKE Russian collusion business.

Presidents have a right to have investigations of lawbreakers but he would not have a right to make up stuff and set up false witnesses to have an investigation.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but as I recall, when the server was attacked, the DNC refused to give the server to the FBI (and exactly when in the history of the FBI has the FBI ever been told, "no thanks, we'll keep the evidence of a crime to ourselves," instead they hired a private company associated with their own lawyers, to perform "forensics" and then give the results to the FBI and the DOJ.

If that is what happened, and I do believe it is, then there is absolutely NO chain of custody nor chain of evidence, and frankly, nothing said by any "security expert" referring to the case can be taken seriously.
