I believe I’d trust North Korea before I would Iran.

I don't know about trust, but at least DPRK will claim responsibility when they attack someone, rather than lie like Iran. My trust in either to abide by a treaty is pretty much zero.

DPRK lied about killing Kim's brother, and they lied about sinking the South Korean warship by submarine.
