Russia may be an adversary, but it is not our number one enemy. Neither is China, which may have over a billion people but we’re its best customer and they’ve invested too much in this nation to risk our destruction.
Iranian leaders, on the other hand, have made no secret that they hate America and everything we stand for. The leading mullahs are true believers in a caliphate that will conquer the world. The 21st century has seen a broad mainstream embrace of a collective Muslim identity by young Muslims and the appeal of a caliphate as an idealized future Muslim state has grown ever stronger. The biggest attack on American soil by Muslim jihadists on 9/11 has solidified this ambition.

I remember back after the fall of Vietnam to the commies, people were wondering who we would have our next war with.
After thinking it over, I figured it would be with the moslems. Then Jimmy Carter got elected and Iran fell to the moslem radicals.
I found that quite a few people had figured the moslems would be the next troublemakers for the US.
The biggest mistake we made after 9/11 was not nuking Mecca.

Ha. I do mean us in a general sense. We are so busy pointing fingers at each other that we let our guard down. It’s like a fart in a mitten.
Iran is withering quickly under Trump's sanctions and must find some way to end them. John Kerry goes to Europe and tells the Iranians "Just hang on, we'll soon be rid of Trump and then we'll go back to appeasing you." Possibly, he thought that Mueller would come through, but that didn't happen. The next best opportunity for the Iranians is to do something, anything, which prevents Trump from being re-elected, and which puts their friends, the Democrats, back in power. The Mullahs reason that if they force Trump into a war before the elections, it will destroy his chance of being re-elected. Maybe their right, or maybe Trump is much smarter than they believe. No one has made money betting against Trump, no will I. Still, expect more and more dramatic violence from the Iranians as the election comes closer.
The biggest threat to America is the DEMOniCRATS.
