If the Atomic Number of carbon is 6, and the Atomic Number of Lead is 82, just how racist is America and just how much does Trump suck?
Less Science?
Sounds like a good thing. When you consider the Junk Science kids are taught regarding Climate Change and stuff like that.
Who needs facts when you have the truth. Right nuzzlin’ joe?
Yeah. But they’re talking LAB science—NOT hand-waving “climate science”!!!!
I had laboratory biology, chemistry, and physics classes in high school. That’s still a good background for one intending to study science or pre-medicine in college!!!!
If Bill, a white male, drives 30 miles in 20 minutes because his privilege lets him own a sports car, who in this scenario is responsible for global warming?
And now you know why 75% of all Public High School Graduates in the greater Los Angeles area, can’t read, write or count above the 3rd grade level
Communists
What factual science there is is being linked to the social justice warrior agenda through scientism (use of actual science terminology, words and phases constructed and structured to appear valid but are totally false)
Coming soon? Whatcha talkin’ bout Willis? It is done here, years ago!
I took an Environmental Science class in 2009, they were using a book written by the climate scientist who went to jail for falsifying the data. No one ever brings this up, by the way. I dropped out of the class when the college professor openly stated in class that Global Warming wasn’t a hoax and that he believed it was the winds that were the main culprit. I wanted to ask so many many questions. I dropped the class within an hour of the class being over.
I took the class again 3 years later, same book by the same author being used. This time it was online. I couldn’t stand to be in a classroom with another environmento whacko teacher but I needed this class to graduate with a degree. The class was setup to have discussion discussed on a board like this. Easter Island came up and I have forgotten why at this point. I remember being refuted on my stance by most of the members of the class because they all said it was part of gloabl warming. I think I said it was over utilization of resources. The teacher contacted me and said the class was highly politicized and that I was right about Easter Island but she couldn’t tell the class this and that I should just be quiet and I would pass the class. I wasn’t quiet and yes I did pass.
This proposed curriculum also makes excuses--the tired, typical ones--for why LaShanda and Tyrone can't learn: "...demands that teachings foster critical consciousness about historical and contemporary forms of bias and oppression. It wouldn't have anything to do with LaShanda texting all period long during biology class or Tyrone hanging with his homies on a street corner instead of attending class, would it?
Some people with actual common sense are against this travesty, saying it: "...promotes too much emphasis on racial identities and schisms rather than the boosting of basic academic skills in a city where more than half of students in grades 3-8 failed their state math and English exams." Ya think? The idiots who thought this up should be JAILED for criminal acts of denying these kids an education which would allow them to do college work and have marketable skills--not spout the latest slogan about how the white man kept them down.
The Department of Indoctrination (one could hardly call them the Department of Education!) will also appoint their own kapos to ensure the other teachers will go along in this criminality: "...will create a panel of 60 teaching fellows who will craft compliant practices for adoption across the citys system of 1.2 million kids."
And, to complete the encircling ring around the brains of their captive audience, "...The DOE will also require book vendors to diversify their offerings if they expect to do consistent business with the department." And the NYC public libraries will receive a revised list of recommended readings to further reinforce this garbage. No doubt Heather Has Two Mommies and I'm a Boy on Mondays and a Girl On Thursdays will be on the list.
If THIS is what a few people who are completely out of their minds but who also are in charge of what your kids learn are doing, it's definitely time to pull them out of these demonizing thought factories called public schools and find the money to send them to private schools or home school 'em.
they are taught communistic and other anti-American bullsheit, but the kids leave high school almost unable to read, write, do simple maths, and they certainly don’t know a damned thing about American history, political science, or values. Nor can they do simple research (use a library, find information on the internet anywhere other than social dating and porno sites)
also they don’t understand how their cars work, or how to do simple repairs.... and they can’t make anything either
Makes sense if you declare that ‘science is settled’. Science isn’t needed anymore, it’s settled. More time for Social Justice Studies.
Not surprised. They are still using books by Paul Ehrlich and the man has quite literally NEVER been right about anything he’s predicted.
Maybe butterflies since thats his specialty!
My son is a senior in h.s. and his 1st math quiz this year was written by the Souther Poverty Law Center.
The required reading was a diatribe about how minorities are forced to live in areas that have more pollution.
The quiz included questions that had your list the reaa9k you thought black and brown people would have worse health due to having to live in areas that have worse pollution.
“Tanisha has asthma. Why do you think she has this health condition?”
Howard Zinns A Peoples History of the United States, and The American Pageant by Thomas Bailey, David Kennedy, and Lizabeth Cohen.
been this way for a long time, at least thirty years.
This from one of them:
"Do you know what they are teaching us in school? That humans are killing the oceans and destroying the planet and we're all going to die from global warming."
When I asked:
"Do any of the students fall for that nonsense?"She replied, half laughing from amusement and shock:
"Some DO!"
That looks like my high school curriculum except that I also had an Electronics class.
