New York Times opinion columnist Farhad Manjoo claims Tucker Carlson could the future of right-wing populism in America.
Its hard to imagine a national political figure that could possibly derange the progressive left more than Donald J. Trump. But New York Times writer Farhad Manjoo already has done exactly that, admitting in a Times opinion piece that populist commentator and Fox News primetime host Tucker Carlson would in fact be worse than Trump as President.
According to Manjoo, Carlson would be poised to deliver on the economic, nationalist populism most prominently proposed in Donald Trumps 2016 campaign and frequently featured on Tuckers primetime Fox News show.
Majoo admits that Carlsons pro-American platform would have a broad appeal across diverse elements of American society, reaching out to the great portions of Americans whose livelihoods are threatened by the conglomeration of wealth on the coasts by massive, soulless, and delusional San Francisco tech companies such as Facebook, Google, Apple and Microsoft. He would be poised to offer policy solutions to offset the effects of automation in an era where most conventional conservatives simply dont care to think outside the box in order to solve one of the most pervasive problems facing American society.

The progressive columnist goes on to claim that Tucker would use said broad appeal to incite racial division. Of course, hed maintain that literally any political opposition to immigration would represent precisely that. take our poll - story continues below
Who do you believe is the most intolerable member of congress?
Majoo imagines Tucker as a potential Presidential candidate in a scenario in which Joe Biden defeats Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Biden would be an utterly clueless incumbent in a debate with Carlson, offering absolutely nothing but empty anecdotes to assist Americans suffering from the effects of automation, mass immigration and the consolidation of wealth among massive tech corporations and neoliberal oligarchs.
Carlson has thrown water on the prospect of a potential presidential candidacy, citing a desire to keep more of his family life. But with a few notable exceptions such as Missouri Senator Josh Hawley(a potential running mate), there are few national political leaders with an ability to channel the populist energy first touched upon by Donald Trump for a political movement that lasts beyond his presidency.
As a Presidential candidate, Carlson could potentially not only represent a political threat to the Democratic Party, but the entire liberal oligarchy progressives have sought to empower in American cultural, political, economic and social life. Manjoos fear of his potential future candidacy is something Republicans should keep in mind.
Farhad Manjoo....Look at his picture!!!
It’s PAJAMA BOY!!!!!!!
Tucker has been in the national spotlight for a long time. I would bet he could turn out to be pretty hard to find dirt on.
Hu? They are worried because Tucker Carlson’s pro-American populism would be broadly appealing???
What does that say for the Democrat party’s value system? It says a lot - which is exactly why we like him.
They wrap this stuff pretty tight. It clouds thinking and leads to politics of "feeling" because clarity is hard to achieve.
Racial division -- the ONLY people dividing the races are the Leftists who use racial division as a political tool.
Opposition to immigration -- This is not a major focus for anyone. The Republicans oppose people breaking the law. Pretty simple stuff.
We deport people back to Ireland if they are here illegally. It's not about "race" and it's not about "immigration". President Trump, as head of the Executive branch, is enforcing the laws on the books. Most of those laws were passed by Congress with Democrats in the majority.

Tucker drives the Left nuts. BTW. Have the crack Metro DC police identified and arrested the Antifa goons that terrorized Carlson’s family and vandalized his home? Still waiting.
They don’t need actual dirt. They manufacture. They have it on good authority from a whistle blower source Tucker shot up a black and hispanic pre-school last Tuesday.
And no doubt the NY Slimes would put it on page one for them.

Sure looks like Pajama Boy
Sounds like a “Pajama It”
I’d sooner vote for Tucker than any of the Bush League Republicans or ineligibles that the GOP would like to foist on us.
BOL........
WHAT?
One cannot be a man if one says one is 'cisgender'.
Tucker Carlson could be a formidable candidate.
I laughed the first time I heard Trump was going to announce. Then he came down the escalator and he had me so maybe laughing at Tucker is a good omen.
If theres a viability gap in the GOP in 2024, perhaps. At least for a while. Hes a platform definition kind of guy, not a leader, unless he can demonstrate such. We need his ability to express values more than direct vote getting.
Lets hope another business personality runs. One of the Shark Tank personalities?
Tucker is a big Fan of Tulsi Gabbard.
When he has her on his Show, which is often, he never grills her on her Abortion stance, Gun Control agenda or any of her other Far Left positions.
It’s all about her fellow Rats ganging up on the poor girl by keeping her off the Debate Stage.
