The United States is deploying military forces to the Middle East after Saturday's drone attacks on major oil sites in Saudi Arabia that the administration of President Donald Trump has blamed on Iran.

This will be an interesting thread.
Locked and Loaded
So they got some facilities blown up which has about 5% affect on world oil supplies. That's their problem to deal with Iran. If they want our air support okay, but no troops! I can't believe Trump is considering this. FAKE NEWS?
We are helping them shore up their air defense around critical petroleum infrastructure. We are not sending infantry and artillery. This is about protecting global oil markets, and thus avoiding war.
I'm a bit surprised that the Saudis are this far behind the curve in buying cutting-edge hardware to protect those facilities. The threat has been obvious for years.
The camel’s nose is in the tent.
Americans are going to die because we think one Islamic dictatorship is better than another.
Saudi Barbaria, who last time I checked had executed via crucifixion or beheading 134 people so far this year. IIRC, three were arrested when they were children. Nine year old blasphemers beware.
Ahhh, OK, we’re just sending advisors.
Where have I heard that before?
While they certainly should have seen it coming (literally and figuratively), these drone attacks just started earlier this year. I would say some General responsible for Air Defense was probably sacked over this, but he was probably a member of the Saudi Royal Family, so maybe some underling will be executed in his place.
Still, as we have shown with our TLAMs, a well planned attack with low flying cruise missiles is hard to defend against, even with fairly well protected targets like military air fields.
You are saying President Trump is a Fool.
When I was in Germany, most of our military deaths were caused by their own motorcycles.
What does God see our country doing?
We are the ONLY country on earth which deploys its military only in other countries and not in its own. The U.S. military fights every other country’s battles for them, yet we refuse to deploy to defend our own borders with use of lethal force. One incident of use of lethal force against the cartels and the narco state of Mexico at the southern border by our military would have ended once for all the annual hemorrhage at the border which is allowing 3,000 illegals entry each and every day to America’s welfare programs and instant citizenship for newborns. I’m sick of the “collateral damage” argument that is destroying America. Why are the lives of a few dozen South Americans more valuable than eliminating the existentialist threat facing the entire U.S. from this invasion? This is white genocide. And the “browning” of our demographic. Who is kidding whom? The powers that be will not allow the U.S. to exist as a nation with a majority homogeneous white population. The election of Trump has changed NOTHING. There is the proof.
I think Trump should send large numbers of our troops to SA; then turn around and take over. Nuke Mecca and Medina a drive a stake though the heart of the death cult that is Islam.
You mean you would destroy that poor black cube, surrounded by moon god symbols, set up as part of the death cult, started by a child rapist?
Where is your sense of cultural inclusion?
By not attacking the Cartels the more drugs killing our youth and destroying families. It’s another way of keeping the populace enslaved. No doubt this country has its priorities confused and most people’s philosophies are messed up too. All you can do is keep reminding people of the facts.
Current SA anti-air is state of the art circa 1979. New stuff will greatly help, as long as the Saudis man the positions and don’t take breaks and holidays.
Yes, I agree. I’m only reading the thread to witness the hatred.
News Flash, we were already in both places.
