That's true but I find it fascinating that the WW2 era
Tokarev SVT 40 is not considered an assault weapon and is widely available in Canada at low prices. Meanwhile they are almost unobtainable in the US because William Jefferson Clinton made the Russians agree not to export to here. They cannot even be imported from Canada. Now if I was going to a rifle fight I would consider the SVT-40 preferable to an AR or an AK and almost on a par with a M1A/M14.
