I was on an Alaskan cruise last September and one of the places we went was Glacier Bay National Park. The head ranger boarded the ship and narrated as we cruised through the bay. He explained that when George Washington was President that the bay was frozen over with 5000 feet of ice but by the end of the 1800's the glaciers had retreated to create this bay. It is now the breeding ground for huge numbers of sea lions and seals.

To my knowledge there were no SUVs from 1789 to 1899, so climate scientists better look for a better answer of what causes natural Earth warming and cooling.

About half an hour north of me is Freehold, NJ. Site of one the largest battles of the Revolutionary War, The Battle of Monmouth Courthouse, June 28, 1778. Up until that time it was the largest battle ever fought on the North American Continent and it was the debut of the professionally trained American Continental Army. It was also notable for the extreme heat and humidity, not too unusual for New Jersey summer weather but that day was brutally hot and humid. By noon the temperature was around 100 degrees with very high humidity.’’The heat the day was as the fires of a thousands Hades’’ wrote Washington's aide de camp General John Mercer. More men fell to heat exhaustion then were felled by bullets, sword and cannon fire. This was over one hundred years before the invention of the internal combustion engine and automobiles. What to these egg headed climate change warriors attribute this too, cow farts?
