..... and heard JUST TODAY that they are advertising for another new one (been requested for over 5 years).

*THUD* 'Bout durn time! It would be nice if Tonya applied for and got the job because no training would be required. She's already done the job.

Yep, still coughing and sneezing. The wind kicked up last night and has been blowing ever since. And it’s still full of the dust kicked up from harvesting. I had to walk over to the other house for a bit and am coughing and blowing up a storm. GACK!

I hope the storm system moving into your area gives y’all a lot of rain. You have a lot of catching up to do.

The excitement is building! It will be another fun weekend.

Hope you had a good day. We got a bit of rain and it lowered the temp. Not sure how much. Hubby hasn’t checked the gauge.

You’re probably climbing the walls with anticipation at this point. LOL I know you have a blast with that crowd.

YAY for you getting some rain! Sure wish we could get some here.

It’s been a busy day. Had a lot of errands to run, then was back at the other house tonight doing a little more to get it ready for Hubby’s buddies who’ll be here next weekend. Now that our towels are dry, I’m getting ready to hit the shower.

It was the quarterly accounting meeting and it is always about accounting and never anything said about payroll. BORING AS HECK!!! Today the pres was talking about this was our best year, blah, blah, blah. Then he said he knew how stressed we were and ads were out there for another payroll person and accounting person.

I poked the boss, and asked if it was really true...a new full-time permanent person? She said yes. I think he knew how close it was for the whole department, starting with the boss, to just leave. “They” think they can run the payroll with not enough people, have at it.

Time will tell. And we might be able to move back into our renovated digs by the end of the month. The previous pres couldn’t believe the sardine can we were in and got the ball rolling to get us some actual space to have papers out and talk on the phone and have new furniture. No work station had matching pieces...we were cobbled together with leftovers.

Yes, it will be loads of fun as usual. And this year, we will have a new guy there. That will be MORE fun!

I’m thinkin’ you need a day off! You’ve been running for two days in a row now. it’s just not DONE!

I remember you saying y’all had told your boss that mutiny was nearing if something wasn’t done. It sounds like she got the point across to the prez that they’d up “that” creek without a paddle if he didn’t do something NOW.

The end of the month isn’t that far off. It sure will be nice to move into your new digs with more space. You really were crammed into teeny tiny spaces for too long.

If you weren’t so pooped, you’d probably be doing a happy dance. :-)

Cool! A new feller to join in the fun and festivities. I always look forward to the shoot threads each year and this one’s no exception.

No day off for a couple more days. Tomorrow night I’ll be at a street festival in a neighboring town. The congressional candidate I’m working for will set up his base at the Republican Women’s tent and I’ll be there with him.
Saturday is museum day, then I’ll rush home to feed and medicate kittehs, then head back to the festival for the evening.

Sunday, I might not get out of bed. LOL

Yeesh! I wouldn’t blame you a bit for wanting to crash and burn after a weekend like this one. Hope your candidate is getting some positive feedback from his efforts in the area. Is the other guy beginning to sweat yet? :)

A very pleasant good Friday morning and ((HUGS)) to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country and thanks, Beach for this morning's thread.

How's everyone doing this morning?

I won’t have a choice but to crash and burn Sunday. LOL
I have a feeling we’ll be busy at the museum Sat. due to this street festival. A couple of the museum guys will have a tent set up with a Jeep and some items from the museum and I’ll have some pamphlets at our tent as well. That way people who stop by can find out about the museum’s tent and go check it out. There’ll be a good crowd tomorrow night and I imagine some of them will pop up to the museum Sat.

What stinks is I have to drive through that town to go to and from the museum and the festival is right there on the main drag. Slow crawlin’ through town. *sigh*

Yes, he’s getting a lot of positive feedback and DesJarlais is feeling the heat. :-)

Excited to be moving into our new space with a little elbow room and desk top room for papers...we have a lot. LOL!

Spent three hours in the dentist chair today prepping for 2 crowns. A fierce headache there by that time and I asked if I could take ibuprofen. They said yes, and they gave me some. I got home and went to bed...to be awoken by my alarm so I could do the ping for the thread. Been feeling pretty good til an hour or so ago. Going to take more and go the bed. d:o)

Rest well when you get there.

Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))

Where’d you and Gizmo go yesterday for your fun in the sun? Same place or did you decide on a change of scenery?

I’ll bet you are extremely excited about your new space. That cubicle you were crammed in was waaaaaaay too small. Room to lay out papers is a must.

THREE HOURS??? Good googly moogly! That gives me a headache to think about. LOL At least you had some relief for a while. Get a good night’s sleep because the lack of it this week just might have a little to do with your headache. That and the zoo you work in. :-)
Relief in the way of another person to help better come soon.
