Trump says EPA will cite San Francisco for pollution stemming from homelessness issues
The Hill ^ | Sept. 19 ,2019 | Brett Samuels

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE — President Trump on Wednesday said he expects the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to slap San Francisco with a violation notice in the coming days related to pollution associated with the city’s homeless population.

Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump again took aim at Los Angeles and San Francisco over the volume of homeless people in each city. But he escalated his rhetoric, saying an announcement citing San Francisco for environmental violations would come in the next week.

“I know for a fact that SF, and for that matter every major city in the US with a “homeless” problem, are in violation of their NPDES stormwater discharge permits. Allowing people to crap on the sidewalk and streets would cause fecal matter to be washed into the storm drain system and from there to every body of water that they discharge into.”

Thanks.

Yet, if someone was walking their dog or dogs and the dog/dogs had a bowel movement in the street above a street drain, they could get a big fine if they didn’t pick up their dog poop.

Yet, today, the so called homeless can crap on any sidewalk or in the gutter with no legal problems.

Thanks Grampa

The EPA of all entities could make major progress in the fix of the “homeless crisis”.

Because, at the most basic level it’s an environmental crisis and a public health crisis.

And it’s driven by lawlessness, mental illness, drugs and alcohol.

I never thought I would ever say this, but: Where is the EPA when we actually NEED them?

Expecting the city rulers to actually do anything about it is even richer. That sewer of a state legalized narcotics in violation of federal law. The feds haven't done a thing and kommiefornia just turns up their nose.

This won't be any different. They'll ignore it and we won't do anything about it.

Thanks for your on target observations re the pollution of the great rivers in the Sac area. I’m repeating your latest post to me:

I doubt the homeless pooping in the streets do, either.

Now they walk into the open air seating of some restaurants, steal food off the plate and squat to pinch a loaf before they move on.

With impunity.

I just submitted a complaint to CalEPA about human feces and e coli being discharged into the Sacramento and American Rivers in Sacramento County.

I named the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors as the Responsible Party and the owners of the land from which the pollution is originating.

I encourage ALL California residents to do the same about their particular area. It could be human feces on the street, in gutters, in you rivers etc.

Under what category did you use to report the human feces and e coli being discharged into the Sacramento and American Rivers in Sacramento County?

Fish urine isn’t full of drugs. I imagine there’s significant residual in the homeless’ piss.

I have been posting about the illegals in Sonoma county camping out on the Russian River with no real sanitation control for over a decade.

Finally, the left wing liberals are discussing this issue/pooping in the Russian River and still ignoring the problem of illegals:
