ABC News, NPR and PBS journalist and political commentator Cokie Roberts has passed away at age 75, according to a network announcement.
"Cokie Roberts will be dearly missed," said James Goldston, president of ABC News. "Cokie's kindness, generosity, sharp intellect and thoughtful take on the big issues of the day made ABC a better place and all of us better journalists."
From 1996-2002, Roberts co-anchored ABCs "This Week" with Sam Donaldson. She also served as a political commentator and chief congressional analyst for "This Week" during her tenure at ABC dating back to 1988.

I didn’t often agree with her, but I LIKED Cokie Roberts. She was not crazy. She was normal. Even when I disagreed with her, I was able to respect her.
And, many times.. she broke from the left to defend decency.
My Wife has beaten breast cancer twice. I’m sorry that this scourge disease has take another victim.
RIP Cokie.
“Oh, please!”
Please explain.
Good on you. I didn't mention that I also lost my mother-in-law to breast cancer, which is why my wife also was somewhat fanatical about mammograms (a good thing). One of her sisters also had BC, but did NOT "do the double". I just hope that decision doesn't bite her in future.
