On February 8th, 2018, Senator Lindsey Graham first revealed an inauguration day email from Susan Rice to herself. That’s 585 days ago and yet we still don’t know what is behind the removed and classified paragraph. Why is this being kept hidden?
At 12:15pm on January 20th, 2017, Obama’s outgoing National Security Advisor Susan Rice wrote a memo-to-self. Many people have called this her “CYA” (cover your ass) memo, from the position that Susan Rice was protecting herself from consequences if the scheme against President Trump was discovered. Here’s the email:
On January 5, following a briefing by IC leadership on Russian hacking during the 2016 Presidential election, President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Jim Corney and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Vice President Biden and I were also present.
President Obama began the conversation by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities “by the book“.
The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would, by the book. From a national security perspective, however, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia.

This has the hallmarks of an Obama administration justification memo, written by an outgoing National Security Advisor Susan Rice to document why there have been multiple false and misleading statements given to incoming President Trump and his officials.

Declassification by the president requires only that he either post it or simply mention it in a presser or in public conversation. It then becomes unclassified.
In short there is no formal procedure nor does the president require any permission from anyone in order to declassify a document.
There are so many things that haven’t been declassified it’s mystifying. I don’t know why he is protecting people who would destroy him in a New York minute if they had the chance.

The coup plotters are getting away with it. No indictments for anyone of significance. Regarding declassifying documents, President Trump has ordered it more than once, but it never happens. His orders are not carried out and buried in bureaucratic processes and excuses. He is not fully in control of the alphabet agencies and the deep state is simply neutralizing him.

Despite promises to declassify damaging documents (how many times over how many months?) its obvious that Trump doesn’t really want, or intend, to declassify them. He’s telling us one thing and doing another — for some reason.
But there can be no more excuses for withholding information that exposes those who attempted to undermine the will of the people. This was sedition. We have a right to see the incriminating documents and demand accountability. Yet the stalling game continues.

The same book that inspired the term “birther” and that term is why nothing will happen.
Obama was never eligible and will be protected at all costs.
I can agree they should be released and it is my guess that releasing the info now will be not nearly as beneficial (politically) as releasing it next October while the legal ramifications remain the same then as now.

Trump has businesses and family members that would be destroyed in a New York minute if he did declassify certain documents, at least without having an iron-clad law enforcement response ready to go. But as we have seen, Federal law enforcement does not think it has to obey anything Trump orders it to do.
We don't see the whole web of blackmail and coercion going on behind the scenes.

We have been led to believe, many times, that the documents would be declassified and released long ago. Certainly Barr has them by now. Evidently Bagpipe Bob is also unwilling to comply with presidential direction. Trump needs to start publicallky asking where the documents are. Put some pressure on the Barr and the corrupt people infesting the DOJ.
Had the documents been released many months ago just imagine what additional insights and evidence we could have by now. Some investigators (e.g., Judicial Watch) could have dug into them and found new avenues and facts to pursue. Might have even resulted in some more requests for heretofore unknown documents.
Withholding the documents is not helping to advance our understanding of what went on.
Just think about it. There is only one reason Barr was seated without a huge fight (quite unlike what happened to John Ratcliffe) is that the swamp knew...
Don’t look for anything to happen. Barr was allowed to be seated because he’s part of the swamp.
